Alabama Bass Trail to Launch New Podcast Hosted by Chris Brown and Kay Donaldson
Decatur, Ala. (September 19, 2019) – Today, the Alabama Bass Trail (ABT) is happy to announce the imminent launch of a new podcast, the Alabama Bass Trail Podcast presented by Phoenix Bass Boats, (http://dev-alabama-bass-trail.pantheonsite.io), a podcast providing detailed coverage of the latest ABT news and events geared toward fans of the fishing trail and its Tournament Series and other fishing enthusiasts. The first episode will drop 6:00 a.m. Oct. 1, 2019.
Hosted by Alabama Bass Trail Director Kay Donaldson and Chris Brown, president of the Anglers Channel, the podcast is a 30-45 minute weekly show featuring in depth conversations between industry leaders, ABT sponsors, anglers and representatives from host cities of the Tournament Series, as well as angling adventures on the Alabama Bass Trail lakes. The podcast will concentrate on a variety of topics including a preview of upcoming events, tournament recaps with tournament winners, announcements, bass fishing tips on the ABT lakes and other things going on in the industry.
“This is another exciting adventure for the Alabama Bass Trail. The podcast gives us a chance to spotlight the talented anglers that fish with us, the sponsors that support us and the host cities and others that make our events so successful. We feel this is another way to engage the Alabama Bass Trail fan base and other fishing enthusiasts,” said Donaldson.
Chris Brown is a 17 year sales and marketing veteran of the fishing and marine industry and is currently the President of AnglersChannel.com. He has been deeply involved in the grass roots and team tournament bass fishing community for a number of those years, and is skilled in photography, videography, digital and social media as well as podcasting. He hosts the AnglersChannel Insider Podcast as well and has produced over 120 episodes to date.
Brown stated, “I am super excited to be working with the Alabama Bass Trail and Kay on this new podcast. As a fisherman and outdoorsman, we all spend a good amount of time in our vehicles traveling and the popularity of good outdoors podcasts is growing. Having the Alabama Bass Trail add this new medium to their family will be absolutely awesome.”
The first episode, which drops Oct. 1, 2019, will feature Brent Crow, Mark McCaig and Brian Stifler, three anglers who have fished with the ABT since its inception. Following episodes will feature 2019 North Division Anglers of the Year Nolen Spencer and Johnathon Reese (week 2), Chris Rutland and Coby Carden, 2019 Overall Anglers of the Year (week 3) and a preview of the ABT Championship (week 4).
